can anyone advise me on what to do if I purchase A CAR FROM FRANCE AND THEN WANT TO USE IT IN THE uK. Is it feasable with say a car from the 70's/80's or too much grief to get a uk reg doc and Mot. Also does the car receive an age related no plate.any help would be greatly appreciated.Thank you.

No its straightforward - its been covered a few times on here so have a search for more info but essentially it works like thus -

Buy car in France
Bring car to UK
Get car MOT'd
Toddle off to DVLA with UK MOT and French docs
Get UK registration

I'm reassured by this - I'm planning to do the same thing, although depending on the lucky car there might be a bit of a delay between steps two and three!

I have a post-1986 French R4 without original wing indicators, will I need to install them in order to pass the MOT?
