First, I am completely amateur in car restoration and Renaults. My father owned a R4 when I was teenager and had ever wanted to have one of my own. So I finally put hands on it and just bought a 1976 4L. As far as I know, this was the last year Renault produced them in Mexico.
My knowledge of this car is only what I have learned over the internet and my expertise on restoration is what I have seen on this site’s projects. I also have no hands on expertise on the many skills required for restoration; so I will need a lot of help.
What I am good at is getting things done and I am a mechanical engineer with a lot of technical knowledge about of most of the fields required for this project. So, since I am no expert in R4, I will need all of your help with the car specifications and technical information that I may be requiring.
To begin with my project, I will spend the following week to set up a blog and the project plan for the next few months that I will be sharing with you.
Thanks and I look forward to meet you all.
