Hi thought I would pop by and say hello.

After a couple of hours reading a lot of very usefull information on your website/forum I've just purchased a 1979 R4 TL

I had one lady owner, last month a good friend bought the car from this old lady that had to give up driving due to her age. knowing that I like cars that are a bit different offered it to me :)

registered 4/1/1979
It has TAX/MOT with every old MOT and receipt ever spent on it along with the ogininal bill of sale.

only covered 28,000 miles and serviced every 6 months some years only doing 200-300 miles between services.

He tells me she never took it out of the garage when it rained, It has had seat covers / carpet from day one, as you will be able to tell from the photos of the interior. the seats are tan vinyl.

The body has a couple of old lady car park dents, but nothing too bad
also the bumpers could do with replacing.

looking forward to some dry weather, so I can start using it.
My current fleet is- 1981 Lancia Beta Coupe, 1989 Lancia Prisma and just sold my 1973 Fiat 126. as you can see I like Italian stuff and run the Beta Forum, I have always had a soft spot for the R4, and after seeing one at this years NEC classic car show I could not say no.

I am sure I will need to ask some advise on this little Renault:)
Great forum

Hi Tony and welcome. Not sure if we met at the NEC but so glad that our car jogged your memory. Your car looks very special, and great to know it's history, you have done well. Perhaps see you on the convey to France next year? Brian.
