Renault4 Hat

Hello everyone.
Well, my parents made the hat, I would have been 4 or 5 I think, it was for school or maybe the jubilee, I can't remember but will post a pic when I'm next around my folks. Daft eh.
Our blue Renault 4 was my first car experience, I have memories of not wanting to get on the back seat because I didn't want my skin burnt off. It was replaced in 78 or 79 for a Mk1 Golf.
Anyway, I've always had a soft spot for the car, but I've been a VW man for a long long time and restored and owned beetles, kombis and Type 3's, mostly in Australia but I'm back in the UK at the moment.
I've recently been redundanted and will give the keys back of my lovely Mk6 Golf GT and will be on the look out for a Renault 4 to replace it. My girlfriend warns me that I won't be able to corner at right angles without lifting the throttle in an R4 but I won't be in a hurry to get anywhere.
I am also midway through a resto of a 66 VW Type 3 squareback, but the car is in Sydney so I'm 'popping' back there in October to finish it and send it back over here.
I've spent a few hours looking at the forum and tips etc, you seem like a lovely bunch.
I hope to have a vehicle soon and get to know you all
Simon
