Immobiliser - can anyone help?

My Clio car won't start. I think the immobiliser battery may need replacing. But I can't open the key to change the battery. Where do I go to fix this? A Renault garage? If I force the key open and change the battery myself will it offset the immobiliser? Can anybody help?

Shouldn't have to force the key open - either there'll be a screw (possibly hidden under something) or otherwise a cunning arrangement of clips where pressing in a certain place should pop it open.

Main thing is to have the battery removed for a very short time (15 minutes max normally) otherwise the key could loose it's memory. A nice Renault dealer would sort it out for free (at least a nice Land Rover or Nissan dealer would - not so sure about whether it's possible to find nice Renault dealers).
