1. eBay - Very very few seem to appear there these days.

2. Gumtree - Entered the search with 'Renault 4) and got over 150 results - every Renault except for any 4s. Zero found.

3. Preloved - Success, with seven results, but with some interesting prices. Isleworth (£15,000), Eastbourne (£3,500), Netherlands (£11,500), St.Malo (£2,900), Servies en Val (£7,000), Carmarthenshire (£3,950), and Shepherdswell, Kent (£2,500). Only the last car appeals to me but it is still a touch higher than I am willing to go. Maybe I'll pop down and have a look?

Yes Paul, i have to agree. Renault 4s that fit your search criteria are rare.
The item on your list in Carmarthenshire, i notice is 304 days old.
It took a while, but eventually sold (for the full asking price) to the first person who made the effort to view it, I am reliably informed.
Oddly, you make no mention of carandclassic.co.uk
there were a dozen on there when i looked earlier, excluding 4cv's.

Sadly, just two are RHD, which i believe is your preference.....
Good Luck

Stuart, I presume you are talking about LHDs? Whilst I once had an LHD Mini and had no problems with it (apart from a police officer going around to the passenger window to bollock me for excess speed), I would prefer RHD.

Neil, carandclassic.co.uk I haven't really looked into but guess that the selling price may be a bit too high for me.

We went up to collect our grandson this afternoon from school and parked outside was a very clean black Citroen C1, 2006, 36,000 miles and £1,400ono. I mustn't be tempted ;-)

Citroen C1.... why not?
A little of what you fancy does you good (Socratease)
Reviews are mixed, leaning towards ownership satisfaction.
However, C1 residual values will decline, but the same cannot currently be said about Renault 4s
Best foot forward now Paul.....

The clock is ticking.... ⏰

Neil, I just KNOW that the week after I take the plunge to sell my 2CV, buy a C1, a bloomin' Renault 4 will come up for sake in the next village. I have four motorbikes, a Lomax 223, and two cars. I must be cautious as I am my own worst enemy. Incidentally the C1 has the best fuel consumption of any small hatchback and (I think) a very cheap road tax. On another point we took our Peugeot 206 into the garage to have a couple of tyres replaced and asked the man to check on her MoT. We were shocked to find it had run out in mid-February! Gone are the days when a garage would email a reminder.
