[Gone] Irish Renault F4 Van for Sale
I am placing this ad on behalf of the owner of a right-hand drive 1988 Irish-registered Renault 4 Van.
It is a former Telecom Éireann Van with 113,000 miles on the clock.
The condition of the van:
Body - There is some rust at the bottom of the back door, and at the bottom of the drivers door. There are some small dents in the bonnet and front left-hand wing. The front bumper is warped. The chassis looks in good condition, but I didn't examine it too closely. The paintwork was done with a brush and as a result the car looks scruffier than it actually is.
Mechanical - The steering rack and front bearings are causing problems (why I asked about this earlier). The engine is running very sweetly.
The van has been in continuous use since it was built, and it is still insured and taxed. It has been out of use for less than a week due to the steering rack problem. There is no NCT because Renault 4 vans are not subject to mandatory tests, so it doesn't need one.
As regards price, the owner's main priority is that the car goes to a good home.
