Hi everybody,
My car is back from the garage for a clutch change, but I noticed that the air intake is connected to the exhaust manifold, and I can't remember seeing this in my previous r4 nor this one prior to the garage visit. But again I might be wrong.

This is the standard arrangement for winter driving, where the incoming air is heated by passing over the exhaust. Probably around now you should consider just pulling the tube off the exhaust and putit through the ring bracketed off the inside wing face, just above where the exhaust passes out of the engine bay. That is the summer driving position.

Yes. I have a 1972 Renault 4 manual that says to change from the winter to summer air intake position when the temperature exceeds 10 degrees Celsius.
