just bought an R4 from Aalholm in Denmark

Hi out there

I've just bought a Renault 4 from Aalholm Automobile museum, but cant seem to find a production year / model?

My oval plate says:R1062 - 352247

Hope you can help me

It's not a Renault 4 but a Renault 4CV. This sold from 1947 to 1961 (the year in which the Renault 4 was designed) and sold over a million units, so with a number of 352247 it must be from the early 1950s.

Renault 4's (as featured on this website) are a different vehicle, produced from 1961 to 1992 (over 8 million sold). They have little in common with the 4CV except that in most countries they used the same 747cc engine (initially, anyway).

It has been still with the little renault, other cars needed attention

I was wondering, i've heard (or think i've heard)of a french company/website, that checks the oval/diamond number for you, so you get a correct year and such?

Anyone know of this ? Or am i loosing my mind in all my car projects?
