OK chaps, how is everyone. My first time here, looking for assistance, thanks.
I,ve got a 99t laguna 1.6 16valve, and it does about 28 mpg, and thats driving normal, not booting it. Is this the normal mpg or have i got a problem. It seems to run ok, but they can run ok and burn the juice. Anyone got any pointers, before i have to shell out loads of cash for a diagnostics check. Its done 86k, brakes not binding, plugs look nice light brown colour. What do you say ? Cheers

sounds about right around town - you may expect slightly more on a long run - but not a lot more.
How are you measuring this ?

I got my R4 in April last year, and have logged EVERY fuel stop since, noting the mileage at the same time. I can therefore measure my consumption now on over 40,000 km of driving. You would do well to do the same over a month or so, and then you can come up with a reliable overall figure. Mine averages 5.8l/100km, but taking it on a "long gentle run" (1100km) I can get that down to 4.2 or 4.3. But put the same car in the hands of two different drivers, and figures can differ wildly. As I and others have reiterated on this forum and others, there is no device in this world that can help with fuel economy more than judicious use of your right foot.
