Hello

I've noticed that my 1988 Clan seems to lean to the left, rocking the car from side to side seems to correct it but it soon starts to lean again

Does anyone know why this is and how I should correct it? I'm unsure if one side is too high or the other too low ( or both )

Bad photos attached :-)

Many thanks in advance

I am so sorry if this sounds silly.
When I drive my R4F4, alone. (LHD).
It to lists to the near side.
Considering putting a water tank on the floor well like I do to ballast my boat when out by myself.
It’s the best suspension in the world, but hey, the law of physics.

Just some general suggestions try the search button on here for rear ride height there's a lot of information/tables on what the rear heights should be it's also possibly in the Haynes manual I'm away from home at the moment so can't check. It's possible the rear suspensions been apart to replace bushes etc and not gone back together quite correctly. La4desylvie has some very good tutorials.. on stripping & setting the suspension. I'm not suggesting you strip the suspension apart but familiarise yourself with how it should be set up and hopefully any differences between one side to the other should become clear. Have a general check for worn out bushes etc also

It seems that the torsion bars have been unequally set in the past. It's not easy to judge if it's the front or the rear ones, but it may help measuring the ride heights as per the manual after having removed the front anti roll bar, so that it's not "trying" to hold the vehicle level.
Stll, the best way would be to reset all four torsion bars to factory settings, then correct the ride heights. It's worth at this stage to check that torsion bars have been fitted at their intended side and not mixed up - it's possible if both bars of the same axle have been removes, and it matters.
