Having been an avid reader of the forum for many months, I have finally plucked up the courage to post something ! I would be very interested in finding out if the above R4 is still around...used to answer to the name of '' Edward ''

It was for sale in Tunbridge Wells in 2005. I don't know what happened to it after that. I think it was advertised again on the forum in 2010 but can't be sure as there weren't any photos. Here are the photos I was sent in 2005:

Thanks peeps....hope springs eternal as they say. The pic you posted Malcolm was when I had him up for sale.....heart wrenching sale at the time, but no garage space meant he was getting worse and worse being exposed to the elements. Now have permanent garage facilites ..... once again many thanks.....

Lkl712f

Hello,

Yes, LKL712F is still going strong! We bought it from you six years ago. We've been very keen to preserve as much of the patina as possible and not over-restore it, but mechanically we've been through it little by little and it's running just fine.

We've had great fun: we drove to the South of France a couple of years ago for the Monaco grand prix and took in some of the passes in the mountains to the Italian border; we had a wonderful trip through France, Belgium and Germany to Denmark and back; a regularity rally with the Historic Rally Car Register in Devon; and last year to the 50th anniversary celebrations in the Loire Valley. So yes, I think we can say it's well loved...

Recently the clutch is giving a few problems that I need to fix for the summer, so if anyone can offer some advice it'd be gratefully received:
- Advice on three-speed gearbox and clutch removal (and refitting: do I need a special clutch alignment tool?)
- Replacement parts (it's an early spring-plate), Retro Melun in France seems to be the place on an exchange basis.

Here are a few photos
