Use them on all my friends gordini engined competition cars R8 A110 and fitted one to my untested rodeo engine
Corteco do a range of them at most motor factors also on ebay
You need m16 thread as listed for peugeot
I've been using them since I discovered renault 14 in 1980 had them as standard due to running gearbox in sump being a peugeot 104 engine setup

I do not see why not to use. If there are any splines in oil it will catch them and you can take them out from engine.

I didn't know if my sump plug was magnetic or not so I simply put powerful magnet on the sump outside bottom

Any one ever fitted one? Used one even? I have found them on old Minis during my two weeks working in a car garage but not on another car.

Came across a website that sells them and ponder about the idea.

I have the 1108cc engine in my R4, (well on the ground behind it :'( )

£18.37 each seems a ridiculous price, even if they do look nice!
I can do less shiney ones for a quarter of that price.

go on then please, got a customer waiting here

I'll be putting in an order to one of my wholesalers on Monday morning, so I'll add 10 of them to the list.
I'll sell them for £4.60 each (plus postage), so that they're 1/4 the price of those other ones.
I should receive them on Wednesday (possibly Tuesday). I'll add them to my website shop when they arrive and let you know.

I'd like one too please....Johnny

I now have the sump-plugs with magnets, for £4.59 each, on my website. They are not as good quality as the £18.37 ones: It appears that the magnet is glued on rather than an interference fit into a recess, which is what I was expecting but they appear to be well-attached. I assume that if one did become unglued, it would still stay magnetised to the sump-plug anyway...?: What do you think?

Are these corteco branded ones as i've used loads with no problems

They don't have any brand name on them but they do look identical to google images of corteco ones. I'll be visiting your neighbours (Prestige) in the morning, so I'll pop round with one for you to see.

You were out when I came round yesterday Paul. I'll pop one round another time.

Do the Corteco ones have any sort of lettering/marking on them?
If not, I suspect that these might be the same.
