Hi,
General info on parts used on these cars would be useful as they seem to vary considerably leaving a newbie like me confused!.
My car is a 1987 registered RHD R4 GTL. Car was registered in Guernsey originaly and only had the proverbial one lady owner until I purcheased her recently & with no known modifications, mileage is 62K.
Have now completed welding at the front (rear was all good) and about to start on Brakes. Car has Disc brakes but Master Cylinder just as 3 outlets no return so is this normal as Der Franzose list this cylinder for Van "brake master cylinder Renault R4 Van 1.1L (2370.210B) brake system Bendix, piston 20.6mm" also states fits car R1128 1972 to 1982. So why is mine like this?
Also when removing front tie rod I find it is not as shown anywhere not even in Haynes as all types I see are adjustable whereas mine are fixed length rods bolted directly onto the lower wishbone assy, I wondered how Camber angle is adjusted on this type as on adjustable ones you can obviously carry out camber changes.
Did Renault mix and Match a bit with parts?
Any advice comments welcome
