I have just changed the Crankshaft sensor on my Megan 1.9 Deisel, after it stopped while trying to pull away. I got a tow home from the RAC (the mechanic couldn't get it started and didn't know what was wrong) It started the next day and I managed to get it to a garage 10 miles away, who charged me £70 for a dignostic test and told me it was the CS sensor and he would change it for a further £120. I didn't have the cash on me so I drove it home (no problem) ordered the part and changed it myself. It ran trouble free for a few days but now it keeps cutting out (it seems to be once its been running for a while) i noticed today (when it kept cutting out) that the engine management light and the Glow plug light were going on and off intermintently (without engine running Just ignition on) and I think It may be a powere problem.. has anyone experienced this and more to the point found the problem.
Hope someone can help me ... Johnnyreb

Hi Mate, I no longer have mine but i can tell you that it was a fuel pump problem, I realised this as when i had a full tank of fuel it drove absolutely fine, but when it got down to just under half it kept cutting out only when i turned right. at under quarter it would cut out on hills and the slightest right turn.
Turning left was never a problem (but then the fuel system is on the right hand side of the tank) It turned out it was never electrical but all the same i am pleased to be rid of the worst experience i have ever had in motoring.
Cheers
Johnny
