megane sport 225bhp

hi lads.

my friend has an 05 megane sport 225bhp and is looking into having it remaped by rapidremap a company local to us.

has anyone on here had the 225 remaped and what bhp did it take the car to?also whats a safe bhp to take the car to?

i think they told him around 270 bhp for track days and then a second map at around 250bhp for day to day use.

anyone that could give me some info would be great as i have to get back to my mate asap.

'Superchips' (website) re-mapping charge - £499 and claim + 35bhp and +35 ft/ibs (+48 nm) for this already super quick megane and it's a nationwide franchise. Re-mapping to this level is probably right at the limit of the front wheel drivetrain with all the risks short/long term this entails. I would also get an insurance quote first. You have to consider whether this upgrade is a wise choice.:roll:
