My Latest R6 buy

By now you have all seen my 850cc R6 barnfind project.
Today I bought this 1108cc TL to keep it company.

The paint is not quite as good as the picture but it is good and only 24,000 miles from new.

Now that is seriously nice! We had a Pink 6 when I was a kid, my sister and I loved riding round in the back of that car!

What a great car! Of the two models you now have the better example I think.
The 1108 is a really competent traveller.

How on earth do you find them, especially one that nice.

This one came from fellow club member Mike Stokes.Mike had been told of the car stored by a lady for many years.Mike bought the car and put it back on the road last July.
Mike repainted the roof and wheels changed the waterpump,plugs,points,exhaust overhauled the brakes, fitted a new battery and a round of tyres.The car then had a full service and was given a fresh MOT.
Mike is planning a house move and with a fleet of R16s I think space was an issue in him deciding to let me have the car.
According to the how many left website there were 36 R6s still registered at the end of 2010 so they are out there somewhere.
