ive been checking out the prices on these
£37+vat for a gen one and £17+for a copy

not so much the money but i will have to drive an hour to get the geniune and the copy i can pick up from the local factors i use

i was just wondering how the copy compares with the original renault one for fit and alignment and if they are both the same thickness steel? as ive never changed one before

thanks
matt

I've had someone fit a non-genuine front wing fitted, and it seems OK to me. Don't know how much the garage had to bend it to fit though :)

The aftermarket ones can be a bit high at the front as the bend is a little sharper than the bonnet profile. I've got a set of older Hadrian front wings that are a good 1/4 inch proud at the front. For the latest project I've bought a full set of Renault ones (the rears are extra pricy these days).

Lifestyle Renault of Tumbridge Wells will post wings if you don't fancy the drive.

i might go for a drive then and pay the extra as the gen ones arnt exactly a lot more
didnt fancy getting them couriered as they dent so easily!

the pattern ones are from LMC panels or one of their suppliers

Do LMC happen to make rear wings as well? The aftermarket rear wings need a little attention sometimes but look nice enough afterwards - but the best part of £300 for a pair from Renault is worth avoiding.

i think LMC and hadrian have merged, they have a network of dealers, the one up the road in leatherhead is one of them and ive bought some mg midget panels off them all were ok.if you do a google search on LMC panels they have a site showing the dealers lists and the panels they do
im undecided about going for a gen one or not,i hate it when you can tell a panels been replaced from poor fit, although my cars not exactly going to be a show stopper! lol

In my country I find Spanish or Italian reproductions (don't know exactly the brand), they fit well, the only mishap was with the studs for the bumper "handles", some don't have them, on others I had to make the handle holes oval to fit.
