Hi all just a wee note to introduce myself and my car I'm Dave and the car is a late model savanna tl ,picked this up today ,the chassis is very clean and the body although rot free needs tidying as does the interior but for 1400 euro and a ticket for two years ,motor runs fine showing 109k (km)one small question should I be running lead additive? I thought with it being a later car it would not need it

I'm running my 1985 F6 van with 1978 Renault5 TL engine on unleaded fuel without any additive.
It is doing fine.

I shall continue to run mine on unleaded then,but if I ever take a long motorway trip I might stick some additive in

Also on longer trips, no additive.
Last weekend I did a 250km round trip. No troubles.
I have been running this engine for three years now.
The only additive I use is something to make the motor oil adhere better to the moving parts.
That is a better help than something in your petrol in my opinion.
My motor oil additive is TSL. http://www.tsl-allstar.nl/?lang=en
I also use it in my gearbox.
