Hi all I've just bought my second R4 which is pure nostalgia as the last one I owned was in the mid seventies it was a maroon 67 TL and the best and hardiest car I've ever had, I just hope it's not a disappointment after all those years !!
I wonder if anyone on here knows the car, it's a white 84 GTL and is in tunbridgewells it was for sale on ebay at the end of last year.

The previous owners nick named the car Amelie, the reg is, B121 NDD. I would like to commend you on your site it is excellent.

Cheers Stan.

Hello Stan, welcome to the forum, and welcome back to 4L ownership, I'm sure it won't be a disappointment as these are as you know great little cars to own and just like any other old motor they have their problems, but nothing that can't be fixed. Anyway, you've come to the right place for advice and sympathy.:D

Many thanks Cornish, Amelie is hopefully getting picked up tonight in Tunbridge Wells, then Karen and I are going down to the borders to collect her next week. We are going to visit a friend in Northumberland and then head back home to Orkney.
It'll be an interesting journey especially considering the modern cars we run nowadays, saying that I do have one or two 80s and 90s cars which are more performance orientated so Amelie is going to be a fresh and I'm sure very enjoyable experience. Stan.

Hello Stan, yes you will find life at a slightly slower pace whilst in the company of a 4, which is no bad thing, just enjoy. Unless you start doing a few mods that is.:D
