petrol additives

hi, I have been a long time sans a R4 and am looking for one now, what I would like to know is it necessary to add a lead additive to the fuel ? last gtl I had would overheat on 'green' petrol and had to have the ignition adjusted. regards

Hello montnegro,

the Search facility on this forum is really useful and often the best place to get started. I searched for 'additive' and a number of threads came up. Try doing that and see how you get on. I found that this thread and the threads leading off it were helpful.
