Petrol cap wanted.

Lost, one petrol cap.
Abandoned the vehicle after being left to fend for itself on the roof after filling up with diesel! As previously stated, my mind was elsewhere.:roll:

Anyone got a spare, or know where I might get another one as the current GREEN plastic one doesn't go with the black paint. Looks like a lump of algae sticking out of it's posterior.:eek:

Hello Rudi, suggest you paint the car green or fit a deisel engine as the caps are now obsolete:wink::wink:

I have often seen new caps on ebay - worth a shot or try your local factor. Dare I suggest one from Renault??

I bought a couple of chrome locking caps on e-bay late last year but the seller was still advertising recently so kep checking

Just as a side to this post.
I found a couple of SEV MARCHAL caps from a Citroen DS and a 2CV fourgonette (little van) and they both fit R4s
I think that the collar must be quite standard

Managed to purchase new petrol cap from my local Renault dealer ( France ) about 6 months ago complete with new keys for the lock. I think I paid about 9 euros for it.
