Pick-up

Yes there was one produced from 1979 until 1986. It was built on the F6 (not F4) body by simply cutting the cargo roof and side panels, and putting on a fiberglass wall behind the front seats. The transformation was being performed by Teilhol (the same who made Rodeo) but it appeared officially on the Renault catalogues (it even had its own model code, 3C 2370). So you can consider it as original!

You beat me to it!

Angel, your response was quick! I found similar information in the book "Album Renault 4" by Robert Sejourne.

It also says that it uses the same engine as the long wheelbase van and that the useful load, including driver, is 465kg. The partition comprises a small rear window at the back of the cab. The head-rests are fitted to the partition.

Jjad, you guessed where I found the data...
If the plate says R2106 it isn't the official pick-up, but an one-off. After all, it is very easy to cut the van. Remember a well known photo of a very early Sinpar 4WD pick-up competing at a local rally.
