Plastic panels repaint

I want to return the plastic panels on my 4gtl to grey from the white they are at the moment and was wondering how easy/difficult there are to get off and put back on the doors after respray or do I leave on and mask round them?

I haven't got these panels,but would guess they're clip'd on.If so try prying them off gently. (It would be a good idea to check how they're ment
to be removed so you don't break them.
A thorough clean with steel-wool and some detergent mixed with some baking-soda will get the panels ready for some paint.Give areal good rinse and leav eto dry.I also recommend to
Carefully heat the panels with a hair-dryer Not a heat-gun as this is easily Too hot! Also put aerosols in 30-35C waterbath to get best result..
Use the colour of your choise start with semi-matt, only Lightly "cloud" a few layers wet-on-wet then continue with gloss and semi-matt one Thin
light coat after each other.I finish last coat with gloss as this helps making panels easier to keep clean after.. -Reid

Plastics are hold with bolts that are hiden under round plastic plugs. After you remove bolts it is just mater of moving plastics up to window.
