Hi there,
I am trying to source an electronic ignition for my Renault 4 - it is an early 1975 R1126, with a (what I believe to be a 782cc engine). I've recently imported it from France and it appears to be a home market model. It has a SEV Marchal distributor with a Ducellier coil. I've spoken already with Powerspark and they don't do anything for this setup.
Can anyone put me in the right direction?
Many thanks

Some time ago I made my own electronic ignition with a Velleman electronic ignition kit.

I do think you can find the kit online. It will take you about an hour to put it together. And after that about 15 minutes to install it in your car.

It works fine but it didn't survive the last harsh winter in the Netherlands. I'm running a 123 ignition ever since.

Here is a link on how to put yours together and how to install.

I have posted on here before somewhere...you can get an electronic ignition kit that still uses the points for a pulse. There is no steep voltage across the points so they don't wear out or need adjusting.
