In a town near mine there is an orange r4, still running daily, with all characteristics of the last series, gray bumpers and grill, kind of wheels, headrest and so on, but without the last glass, that is closed by metal... I was wondering if it was a drastic welder choice... definitely bad choice. I should find the owner and ask...

It could be a Belgian production R4, they used to produce a 4-glass R4 untli the late 80s.

Mmm... maybe, but I do not think... we do not use to import r4s from Belgium, there are still plenty available here in good condition, but I should ask if I meet the owner...
