Hi all, just got round to loosely re-fitting the exhaust today, new Bobbins etc the centre sections what I removed about 2 years ago just been painted. I'm not sure if it's the right one for the car (1985) as it appears to be a change over year. The floorpan mounted bobbin in the rear footwell lines up as does the back box I've just got this mounting strap in no mans land. There is a hole in the bottom of the torsion bar mounting just above which lines through roughly so am I missing a bracket? Haynes manual doesn't show anything.. Regards AL

I think the short answer is 'yes' - I've certainly seen brackets fitted there before.
When my F6 had the 'long' exhaust system, I remember fitting a bobbin there - you can just about see one in this photo (apologies for its poor quality).
(One of the advantages of the long system on a car/van with a rear anti-roll bar is that, if all the bobbins go, the exhaust system can't hit the road - it's still held up by the anti-roll bar!).
