Have any of you seen the Renault 4 article in this weeks addition of Classic Car Weekly? I don't think the writer is a R4 enthusiast somehow, infact he was a bit scathing about our favourite small car. Or was it just a wind-up? By the way, they used clasicmfbs' ex car for the article.

They were also laughing about the R4 on the program before the Archers last Sunday.

And someone I met recently..

Had a party to celebrate getting rid of his R4..how cruel is that?

Its not the most insightful article is it. But then that's about what you'd expect from them really.

I thought their front cover article 'Future Classics Revealed' to be incredibly lazy. Apparently their 'experts' have used every ounce of their combined wisdom to predict that the Alfa Spyder, BMW 3 series Convertible, Honda S2000, MGF and Golf GTi (along with a few obvious others) will become future classics.

Real crystal ball stuff in action there.

Well it's a matter of taste, and we can't expect that all persons have the same good sense of taste like us... :-D
I would throw a party, too, if I got rid of a 3 series ...

R4 is for fun, fun, fun. A bit hard on the ear drums though! It won't be a classic but will be desirable.

Well I had to choose to sell either my 1984 R4 or my 1992 3.2 jag in the end the decision wasn't that hard, goodbye jag.

Well logic alone told me that it's also cheaper, easier to fix and more enjoyable, besides the wife won't go out in it so it's my little piece of tranquility, alone in my own little space.
