Hi guys, I hope someone can point me in the right direction. Just changed my leaking brake master cylinder, the next step for me was to use penetrating fluid over night on all four bleed nipples, in preparation for bleeding the brake system. The following day I managed to loosen up three, but on the rear left, the nipple snapped off. So I ordered up a new wheel cylinder, but you guessed it, I had the same issue with the brake line nut. The pipe had welded itself to the nut with I guess, dissimilar metal corrosion. No big surprise as the outside of the brake unit, wheel cylinder and pipe was totally covered in surface corrosion. Once I got the broken pipe removed from the cylinder and the flex line on the other end of the pipe, I realised both pipe retaining nuts have a slight conical shape to them. So I could not use spare pipework that I had laying around to replace the broken R4 units, as my spare pipework and nuts are parallel machined like any other normal nut.. Does anyone know of anyone selling pre-made pipes for the R4 or who sell just the conical flared nuts.
Any help much appreciated.

The pipe fittings are standard parts. You'll find the fittings at the rear are imperial and the ones at the front are metric. I had some trouble finding imperial fittings locally and ended up buying them on Amazon.

That may explain my dilemma. So are we talking 3/8ths nuts as I have seen them on Amazon.

I have found out that all brake fittings on mine F4 (drums allaround) are 3/8"x24UNF except one line that goes from master cilinder to rear brake limiter which is 7/16"x20UNF
Brake pipe is 4,75mm diameter

For GTL i do not know as i have give away brake lines to be made according to actuall pipes from car.
