R4 newbie

Hello all,
My name is Simon and I live in NE London.
I’m just in the process of buying my first R4, a 1984 Portuguese GTL.
I’ll be collecting it from Porto at Christmas, can’t wait!
I’ve been reading various threads here in recent weeks, this looks like a great forum. I’m sure I’ll have some newbie questions in due course...

I’m told the car was originally bought & run as a Portugal Telecom fleet vehicle, and that was their corporate colour (in 1985 at least - since bought/ merged/ rebranded several times...)

This weekend a practical friend and I gave the car a service and had a general poke around - I’ll post some pics in my other thread from my work PC this week ...too laborious on my phone!
