He everyone!

Today I was trying to remove the rear quarter panel that has the gas fill thingy through it.

But I can't seem to find an easy way to remove the panel because the filler neck is sticking through it and indont want my ape arms to tear my 1971 baby apart.

Anybody here who can give me some tips on how to remove it safely?

Thanks in advance!

Just to be clear I added a picture..

Hoe do I remove the panel from this filler tube?

Disconnect the filler pipe from the petrol tank. There is a joint under the wing.
Thanks for the tip, ill cueck it out asap..

The entire area is coverd with some kind of hard wrinkly stuff, I'll have a better look once it isn't 40+ degrees here.. so hot

You need to remove tank filler cup, then to remove two screws which holding rubber part around filler pipe. After removing all bolts and rivets on the wing, just pull up the wing over the filler pipe

So no need to remove clamp as stated earlier?

Thanks, ill try that!

I need to drill one bolt because the previous owner seems to have used some weird hard wrinkly tar over it and i cant grip it anymore unfortunately
