Hi all,
Has anyone got any pictures of a real f6 pickup as i own liams old yellow one and need to restore the rear. At the moment its all fibreglass (butt that is) but im sure its not meant to be that.

Can anyone tell me if there are any other pickups in this country. And how much it could be worth as im going to need to insure it this summer but insurance companys have no idea..

look forward to any replies..

cheers

Hi
the pickup has TEIL HOL sinpar torpedo plates under the bonnet.
I believe they were made for renault by them..

There is a R4 pickup on ebay.fr - item no 290207956642 - its listed as a 4 x 4 pickup, but the picture is taken from the front.

Would love to see photos of your restoration Andrew.

What R4s do you have left? I remember the light blue 3 speeder you bought from Liam, though saw it again on a classified site a year or two ago.

Hi, i run a 1986 GTL day to day with full leather ...

i have 72 saloon waiting for time and money to be put back together
same goes for a 85 gtl but that looks if its going to be done sooner than later as someone down here wants one and has money

of course the 83 pick up off liam but thats needs some serious work on the pickup side.

The 3 speeder (bluey) was sold to a guy in salisbury in i think 2005 as i had no were undercover to keep it..gutted to see him go..
If you go to DVLA and search on roadtaxes it says it has been exported..would like to know were he went..
should not have sold him..loads of undercover space now..typical..

Glad to know you are still into the little Renaults. Blue was '63 wasn't he?

I've got a '65 3 speeder that's more rotten in more places than I'd have believed possible for just the one car. Thinking doner body and chassis for that one and just move over the unique bits should I ever get around to it. Lovely interior - deluxe you know. :D That one is in the queue, though dry stored so shouldn't get much worse.

Do you run a garage and do the Renaults on the side or is it just a hobby?

Deluxe....haha..my 72 is a deluxe..

The 4s are just an illness..sorry hobby/obsession..1st car you see and when that died in the middle 80s i said that i would have another one day which i did with a cornish registered 76 TL. And then bluey, pickup the deluxe and now this GTL..Its the only 4 i know about from Truro down.Lots and Lots of bits to keep it going in my lock up.

I have worked on renaults since 85 but now work for a Renault specialist and play with the 4s if i have time. I also have my own shop on ebay renault4mad shop selling genuine renault parts for all the modern vehicles

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Renault-Parts-Online_W0QQsspagenameZMEQ3aFQ3aSTQQtZkm

its doing well but not enough from stopping my hands getting dirty..
damn..

Spotted the photos in the gallery. What a lot of Renaults - all looking better than my fleet.

Oddly enough the R4 was my 4th car - moved from a VW Polo in the early 90s, and the Renault was nicer for just about everything that's important for me in a car. Thought that was crazy for such an ancient design. That was a '77 TL. I still prefer the 850s to the GTLs. Nicer seats and ride.

A decent R4 parts supplier would make literaly tens of pounds. Have you considered doing that?

..I assume you mean..

..tens of HUNDREDS of pounds Malcolm, or even tens of THOUSANDS of pounds?

..and look everyone, the FIRST really green engine..
