It all looks a bit Heath Robinson but I’ve finally cured my rattly gear lever.
I put a length of plastic tubing over the lever itself leaving just enough play inside the bush not to hinder selection of reverse.
It’s prevented from slipping downward by an unsightly jubilee clip though I’m sure there are more elegant solutions!
The result is a much less clunky gear shift and one that doesn’t rattle any more.
