Rear outer suspension mountings

The R4 that we are in the process of buying has failed the CT on the outer rear suspension mountings, which I assume are these bits https://www.franzose.de/en/Renault/R4/Hinterachse/ANR81069/ - are they going to be a major pain to fit (I've got a 4 post lift in the garage and a couple of very mechanically minded mates) or is it best to farm it out to one of the local garagistes here in Normandy.
Its a major fail as well - the first I've had dealings with since moving here in 2006, so got to be transported rather than driven any where!

You will need a press to fit them. It's not the easiest of tasks and involves removing rear torsion bars and resetting ride height, too. Have a look at the factory workshop manual or RTA (Haynes does not cover it) to fully understand the process of aligning them before commencing work.

I've changed them using an easier but more risky method.

Remove the rear suspension in 1 piece
Make a template that bolts to the outer mount and mark where it lines up with the suspension casting. Measure the position outboard of the old mount and mark it on the suspension arm. Then cut through the old mount being careful not to cut the casting and pull it off.

Clean up the rust being careful to preserve any markings. Lubricate the suspension arm and knock the new mount on with a drift making sure it ends up in the same position and rotation as the old one.

It's a one shot thing and if it goes on at the wrong angle or is knocked on too far the only option is to cut it off and start again.

Thanks very much for the replies. Sounds like there are a couple of options.
We're collecting it tomorrow, it can be driven and I've got 2 months to put it right, I was a bit confused as the CT regs have recently changed and I thought it needed transporting.
We'll get the local garage to do the admin for change of ownership and I'll ask at the same time about the cost of them doing the replacements.
There may well be further questions about the template Malcolm!

there will almost certainly be a garage near you versed in the intricacies of the R4, because so many people have them and so many are doing the raid.
