refitting front wings

just fitted the 2ndr front wing after a minor repair to the inner wing edge

ive used the body sealant from the gun along the edges, but when you feel up inside the wing theres a small edge where dirt and water could sit
i guess this causes the rust in the 1st place

should i try to get sealant up there by putting some on a spreader on a finger or just get some cavity wax and spray this up and let it run down to the seam>?

or im i just being paranoid ! :)

I used brushable seam sealant to fill the edge. Applied it by finger, and it took nearly a whole 1L tin to do both sides, and make a sloped edge that water can run off. Has to be better than leaving a ledge for mud to sit in.

i was thinking that same thing
i bet the latex gloves tear a lot though i guess in the end you just let it get on your skin and scrub it off over the next few days!

I've found some photos. The brown sealant is brushable and the white is PU from a tube. Couldn't find any good photos of the front after painting, but did find one of the rear. Hopefully I've not left any gaps.

Disposable gloves are a big help. My sister gave me some heavy duty ones a hospital had been throwing out - lasted brilliantly working with thinners. The other gloves didn't last long at all.
