Happy new year to you all.
I am trying to fit the refurbed petrol tank. All seems well except for the rubber tube up to the filler cap. Although the tank originally connected to it, I cannot get the metal tube back into the rubber tube, and because the rubber is hard, it wont bend so I cannot get the tank into position.
So is there a special technique? Do I raise a bowl of hot water up the rubber connection to soften it, or use a hairdryer tp warm it ? Is there a connector piece I can buy? Do i have to get a new rubber connector tube up to the filler cap?
Can anyone help?
