How weird to see the photo of the Reims pit building in Cornish4's photo album. It looks like they are finally trying to preserve the building.

I've added a couple of photos - the one from Cornish4, and one I took in 2003.

There seems to be an association called the Friends of the Guneux Circuit http://www.amis-du-circuit-de-gueux.fr/ but there's not a lot on their website about the plan. (I might have missed something in translation.) Anyone know what's planned for the old buildings around the circuit?

Hi Malcolm, it's interesting to see the before and after shots of the buildings. I'm told that it's simply a group of racing enthusiasts who go to the old track every fortnight or so, and tidy up the place and give it a lick of paint. Funny old feeling driving down the main-straight, I was thinking of all the great names from the past who drove on that tarmac. Its a bit like going to Brooklands. Not sure there would ever be racing there again though, but it's a super place for a photo-shoot, and even on a Renault 4 you can imagine for a moment you are Fangio in a Ferrari or Maseratti. Regards Brian.

If I ever get around to buying a scanner, I'll scan the photo I have somewhere of my Twingo parked there. I went in 2000 so it looked exactly the same as Malcolms picture.

Nice to see it being looked after although there is a certain something in the faded glory of the unrestored state with the just about readable signs.

Fascinating place though, must try and go again sometime.
