Removal of the plastic trim under the windscreen

I've removed the 4 T10 screws and the trim which now slides easily about 1.5 c/m from side to side but doesn't want to come away. I don't want to force it in case I break something. Is this a case of 'take courage' or am I missing something. Nothing in the manual or parts list actually helps.

unhook it from this lever..

Hey Grenuj, thank you for replying. How do you unhook? Do I have to reach it from inside the car or do I just pull the grill from the outside?

@Fentible , You are welcome...
pull towards the steering wheel (driver sits on the left-hand side of the car).

@Grenuj I have failed. No matter how much I try to pull it toward the steering wheel it does not want to come out. I can bend the ends of the grill away from the body a little, but that is as far as they will go. I feel that if I apply any more pressure, I will break the plastic. If you have a picture of the reverse side of the grill so I can better understand how it clips in, that would be really helpful. I can't really see properly from the photo that you kindly provided Thank you. George

post a picture of your situation..
just take it off from this lever (opens the cover for air to entry into the cabin).

@ Grenuj, @harbourseal Thank you both for posting these photos. I can prise the 4 corners of the grill up but it seems trapped along the length of the upper and lower edges. Its definitely not that lever that is holding the grill tight to the bodywork. Are there any moulded in retaining clips along the upper edges of the grill? It looks like that one once the 4 corner screws are out, the grill should clip out from the top, allowing you to fold it forward, unhook the lever and remove the grill. Thanks both for your patience.

If the top part is undone, lift the whole parafan upwards and slide it to the drivers side. It might have been glued to the lower part of the cavity that it sits in by a previous owner.

@harbourseal, @Grenuj. No its not glued as it slides easily from side to side. I'm fairly confident its the top part of the grill I need to prise out from the bodywork, the grill must have tabs along its top edge, that hold it under the lip of the metal? I also appear to have pieces of what look like a type of gasket falling out but I can't find any part listed. Will report back after attempts later today. :whistle:
Edit: success!! the grill has 2 retaining clips moulded into its lower edge, they re tight but once levered up they pop out and allow you to lower the grill down and maneuver it off the flap operating lever. Question on the gasket remains.
