Renault 4 GTL 1984 for sale

Very unhappily selling one my Renault 4 RHD GTL. Used as a daily driver but it failed its MOT today and needs welding that the garage told me would cost around £600 - unfortunately I don’t have the cash to do it at the moment and I have another R4 in my mum’s garage that she wants out!

I’ve only had this since April and done just over a thousand miles and runs great. There is a dent, however, on the offside wing where some idiot reversed into it parked down my road.. i’ve tried to show it in the pictures. Front two seat covers are a bit ripped but I believe you can replace them fairly cheaply, the back seats are fine.

Hi OJ, as a matter of interest where exactly does it need welding? I only see what looks like surface rust apart from the small hole at the bottom of the rear wing.
Are they that strict with MOT's?
I'm not looking for another car at the moment, just interested in your problem. 600 sounds a lot

Very easy to find lots of welding if the previous one was either a lenient tester or missed a few bits here and there
There's plenty of areas which can have holes but not ACTUALLY FAILABLE
second opinion worth seeking as even if you spend money now unless all rust is cut out and treated it will only be short term repair

Had the car retested, failed on two sides of welding rather than 4..
Quoted ~£600 for this work.

I've decided I still want to sell it, will take £1000 for it.
