Renault 4 sells for 25000 Euros.

On Monday a Renault 4 sold for 25000 Euros at an auction in Paris.
It had been messed about with many non standard parts fitted but that did not seem to put off any interest. Maybe the fact that it was used in a film added a bit of interest. It sends the message that it does not matter what you do to keep your little gem on the road it will still hold its value! So its off to Halfords to get those "Carlos Fandango" hub caps (add 500 euros), the large rear window "Renault" sticker (+ 200) & a plastic body kit (+ 900).

Hey I saw this at the auction place in Paris yesterday. It looks pretty good although a little out of place next to a Chapron DS and Lamborghini Miura.

It looks very much like the car used in the new film 'Rien a declarer' starring Dany Boon, its being heavily publicised now.
It seems to be about customs officers - probably the French taking the p**s out of the Belgians - apparently a popular subject here.

I rather liked it. Rear wheels could have filled the arches a bit better though.

Thats the one - in the film I saw playing in the supermarket bits were flying off all over the place!
