I have been following a 1982 R4GTL Y-reg on eBay for a little while now. It is currently at £295, however it looks as if it's been pushed off Beachy Head as each and every panel is dented, really dented, and the insides look atrocious as well. It would need a very adventurous or stupid person to take that one on. It seems to presently be in a SE London breakers yard.

(Later) Looking at it again, it seems to have been removed from the eBay sale.

Well, I tried to find it on ebay, but couldn't :¬) Could you post a link?

Mr Narromar
This forum is generally slow enough that lots of us are patiently clicking new post daily to get our fix of R4 gossip
Once said item had disappeared of ebay guess there wasn't a lot to say ☺

Narramore please, Narramore. The wreck has been on there twice now so perhaps 14 days in total but no comments. I know, I know, you're busy, yaddayaddayadda.... I did mention it to you when I was down.

Realised my spelling mistake but I pressed reply not edit lol

Did I also mention to you Paul that if anybody uses LOL on a post, I would delete them from my life? No?

Do you know if Ian is back from his holidays?

£295 sounds reasonable for a RHD doner car. Fly to Portugal, buy a non-rusty for 1000 euros, drive it home, then swap over the steering to RHD (there is welding involved in that), and get yourself ahead of the bunch that are trying to sell LHD Portuguese cars for £3500.

Advertised prices are going silly at the moment throughout the classic market. Run of the mill stuff R4s are advertised from £3000, even basic supercinqs are on for that money, but I can't seem to insure my R4 Gordini for more than £6000 and I think I spent that on it.

Ought to shift this into the discussion section to leave the sale section free for people who want to sell their car.
