I'm selling this very sound white R4tl, as I've bought a newer lower mileage model. Imported last year, and very much enjoyed over summer months, it has been garaged over the winter and thus avoided salt laden British roads. The mechanics, running gear etc. are in great condition and it runs smoothly and quietly, and very comfortably on the road. There are no leaks or drips from engine, gearbox etc. The body is in great condition above and underneath, there have been no structural repairs to chassis and non are needed. The interior is clean with no ripping or tears.
There are small marks to the paintwork, but no underlying rot about to burst through to the surface. I have removed front wings and thoroughly treated with clear waxoil to preserve the condition, but would further coat with black Waxoil, the rest of the chassis and underside if I were keeping the car.

It has 138.00 klms.(80K miles) on the clock but it runs very sweetly.

It is MOT'd until end of the month but will be sold with a full 12 months MOT.

I was looking for £2,250 for the car, but come and look tell me what it's worth to you. Thanks for your time.

Worth every penny! You just have to look at leboncoin to see what R4 prices are doing in France! No longer regarded as a "cheap runabout", their status is fast approaching that of the 2CV cult. In some respects it's a shame but it does garantee that more will be preserved & restored, not just scrapped.

Hi John, at night she is all tucked up in the garage and the family are loving every minute of her. She drove like wee dream home to Essex. Thank you for the fabulous purchase from you. She has become quite the topic of conversation ..... Took me ages to find water scooshers ha! eventually spotted the pump on the floor after 300 miles!!!
We will cherish her and keep you posted
Thx again
Nin

Another 4 in Essex?

Nin, seen your post - bringing a 4 to a new home in Essex - I'm near Maldon and have a 4 (and a 14) - good to hear that Essex has at least two 4's - where abouts are you? Michael

Congratulations, Nin! Looks fantastic. Nice to hear of another foot-pumping windscreen washer one (I think most of the RHD ones have new-fangled electrickery washer pumps!).

Enjoy!

She is gorgeous ... I love the whole experience....her seats are really springy, i feel as if i am on balloons, bouncing from location to location lol. Her steering is unbelievably stable and well I'll be spending quite a bit of time in the garage getting familiar with her engine and her maintenance.

Enjoy? I most certainly am!!!!!!:D

I'll keep my eyes peeled on Friday - I am in Heybridge Basin - I'll be around in my 14TS so keep a look out for a rusty beige 70's Renault when you visit your friend
