how to replace a firewall on r 6 rodeo i am told it rusted away even that bit above it, i haven t seen the body , so i wonder ? thanks from Cor ,australia

The firewall is a cut down Renault 4 part. To remove it you need to remove the front outer and inner wings, the dashboard, windscreen parts, then it unbolts from the chassis. There are pieces of foam stuffed into the top of the firewall which case it to rust.

Were many Rodeo 6 imported to Australia?

as far as I know there is none I will bring one in, haven' t seen it or a pic, but I was told firewall is nearly rusted away , also the top part towards wind screen so have no idea about it to put another fire wall does seem ok as you wrote ,the part above up to wind screen is maybe harder to reproduce ? but I'm very happy with your response thank you so muchregards cor

If you can cut a new firewall from a Renault 4 or Renault 6 then no problem. Just about all the metalwork in the Rodeo is cut from a Renault 4.

The chassis tends to rust on the Rodeos too. Most people rebuild them using a doner Renault 4.
