Hi
A while ago I asked for advice on a R5 automatic I'd seen for sale ... in the end, I decided not to buy the car.
However, there's a 1984 Renault 9 automatic for sale near me for just 395 euros (with new CT). I've been in contact with the owner - the only issues with the car are the speedo needs replacing and the auto box occasionally has trouble selecting reverse (it can sometimes take 1 or 2 attempts to select reverse).
Should I steer clear of it because of the auto box issue, or do you think this is something that wouldn't necessarily get worse over time?
At 395 euros, it seems a bargain ... but only if I can run it for a couple of years without forking out on big repairs!
Thanks for reading - looking forward to your comments.
