Hi,

I am having a bit of trouble trying to buy some new brake shoes for my renault savanna, 1995 N, 2.1td.

Halfords list about 4 part numbers, none of which they have in stock (typical) and all the online catalouges and local part dealers give two types. The difference being one is Lucas and one is Bendix.

Does anyone know of an easy way to tell which system I have?

Many Thanks

Sam

Hi
This problem is the same for most Renaults

The way I get round it is take of the brake drum on one side and take a HQ digital photo of the brake assembly. Then print it out again good quality. Then take the picture with you To a motor factors to get the parts
Most Renault use the same brake shoes or garnitures as called in France
So you wont have any trouble finding the right ones I think a Savanna uses the same as a 21, 19, laguna etc etc
Good luck
MH
