Replacement shift knob?

Does such a creature exist? If so, where do I get one, please?

Hi Sepharad
Your best bet would be to replace the first half of the gear linkage (just 2 bolts to undo). If you can't find a good replacement in a scrapyard, this website might be useful for parts:

If yours is loose or broken I can tell you how to repair . If really stuck I do have the complete hockey stick which is the best way to sort it- knob cannot bd removed under normal circumstance

The knob just comes off in my hand while shifting! I need to shift less vigorously

It can be repaired with Slow cure Araldite - remove complete hockey stick from car. Turn upside down and push the araldite resin into the gap at the bottom. It will slowly sink down before setting
