Restoring roof problems

Greetings, everyone.
I'm currently restoring two of my 6 4l's, one is getting all new sheet metal and the other the mechanic wants to apply fibreglass because he says it will be just as strong.
I can find replacement panels for almost the whole van, but the roof, the sunroof and the drainage channels are awful! Nobody sells them, don't they exist?
What's the best way to approach the subject?
thank you all

I don't think replacement roof parts exist. Fibreglass will be bad as it will trap water and rust out the steel around. Welded repairs are tricky as there are compound curves that are tricky to replicate and parts of the finished weld end up in the gutter.

Best thing would be to cut a complete roof from a donor car.

I guess its easier to take a complete fresh std roof from donor car and combine it with your roof parts.
