RHD Renault 4 Fourgonnette Van
This van has been sitting in a friend’s garden for many years. I bought it to help with the restoration of a saloon but the parts we wanted, i.e. suspension and brake components have pretty much reverted back to nature so I’ve decided to sell it whole. The chassis and underpinnings ere completely rotten, though it could still yield useful components for a restoration or a RHD conversion.
To be fair the body is surprisingly good above the sills and may go again as part of a complete restoration/resurrection. Roof, gutters and N/S rear quarter are very good. There’s some rot in the bulkhead and the upper hinge area of back door and mating surround requires work. The O/S rear quarter has collapsed over the chassis and has bowed out slightly at the front of inner wheel arch. I should imagine it will straighten out okay once free from the chassis.
As mentioned, the chassis and underpinnings are completely rotten, but the vehicle should yield the following:
4 Alloy wheels in good usable condition
RHD dashboard, steering column and steering rack
Momo Steering wheel
Full length roof rack
Van rear lights
Upper rear door
The engine, gearbox and ancillaries appear complete. I haven’t tried turning the engine. Probably best to consider it seized and for rebuild and try some oily diesel in the bores for a week or two, it might be okay. Spare alternator also
The car also comes with a good spare bonnet and four front doors
There are also a number of rubber floor mats. I don’t know if these are from a saloon or a van.
All spares will fit in rear of van for transportation
