What are people paying for road tax on their Renault4s in the UK I've just seen that the rates are due to go up again
When I check mine on the dvla the co2 emmisions is 0 just wondered if I'm paying too much at £220 per year / £18 a month

I paid £210 for 12 months on 18/10 (for a GTL) - not sure if the rates went up in the Budget.

Hi

I also paid £210 at the start of November. Mine will be 40 years old next year. Hopefully, I will be able to secure historic vehicle status and it will become road tax and mot exempt.

£210 last year; will be £220 next year.

But I take it off the road for the winter anyway, so get some money back.

Do you guys all have R4's newer than 1983/4 ?
Surely they are classed as classic and zero rated ? They are 40 years old !
Currently Pre Jan 1st 1984 cars are tax exempt.
NB. You must still tax the car every year but pay nothing.

Thanks I re read the dvla pages and yep £210 is right... Can't see how it's more than my wife's two litre cmax.. Criminal..

"Can't see how it's more than my wife's two litre cmax.. Criminal".
Newer cars are taxed in bands that relate to their emissions. Cars from the era before that system came in are taxed in (far fewer) bands that relate to their engine size.
