Well after the BBQ at malcolm's, ( it was nice to meet fellow enthusiasts ) we desided to stretch our legs a bit ( my wife's included in this ) and go camping in Scotland " why i hear you say, rain and mossies " we bought our tent packed the little car and of we went " if we could have got the kitchen sink in i think my wife would have " anyway i shall not bore you with all the details " unless you want me to " we went A1 then A68 through Jedburgh, Edinbugh,Perth,Pitlochry,Inverness to Nairn where we camped then travelled about to different places and then back via Glasgow.
The car went really well no problems covered 1660 miles with an average of
57 mpg travelling at 55 to 60 mph which for an engine that's covered 113000 miles i thought was brilliant .
I've a few pictures i shall post now and later.

Is that the car that took me to the supermarket ? it did sound sweet then.
Pictures of Scotland make me a bit homsick but I can live without the mossies.
Well done on the trip I hope my 4 will be as reliable one day.Gary

Hi Gary, yes it's the same car it went really well never missed a beat.
I've never been botherd with the mossies, but they tend to attack my wife viciously.
We've been thinking about going on another trip on the back holiday maybe Wales ? we'll see.

By strange coincidence I'm just a few miles east of Perth at the moment, though I haven't matched your fuel consumption, mostly because I blasted up here in a record 7.5 hours :D.

Ahh that's the difference we just took it easy after all we were on holiday, the weather was really good north of Inverness and very sunny.
